Both parks are spectacular but different. Krka is closer to Split (1.5 hours vs. 3.5 hours), more accessible, and historically allowed swimming. Plitvice is larger with 16 cascading lakes and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If time is limited, Krka is easier for a half-day trip. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Plitvice is unmatched.
