Krka Waterfalls Day Trip from Split — Group Tour with Boat Cruise
About This Tour
Explore Krka National Park on this full-day group tour from Split — one of Croatia's most stunning natural landscapes and an easy day trip at just €35 per person. Walk along well-organized trails through lush forest to the famous Skradinski Buk, a massive travertine waterfall system with 17 cascades tumbling into emerald pools. Visit restored stone houses, traditional workshops, and a centuries-old watermill demonstrating how Dalmatians lived for generations. Read educational panels about the park's unique herbs, wildlife, and the geological forces that created these travertine barriers over millennia. After exploring the trails, enjoy a scenic boat ride down the Krka River canyon to the charming town of Skradin — a hidden gem nestled within the national park where you'll have 2 hours of free time to swim, relax, or explore. The return journey to Split passes through scenic Dalmatian villages and Trogir, giving you a taste of the coastal countryside.

Frequently Asked Questions

The entrance fee is NOT included and must be paid in cash (euros) on arrival. Prices vary by season: June–September: Adults €35, Students €26, Children 7–18 €17. April, May, October: Adults €21, Students €14, Children 7–18 €9. November–March: Adults €13, Students €9, Children 7–18 €5. Children under 7 enter free year-round.
Is the Krka group tour or small group tour better?
The group tour (€35/person) is a budget-friendly option with A/C transport, a boat cruise, and free time in the park and Skradin. The small group tour (€250/group, max 15) includes a licensed English-speaking guide, a more intimate setting, and more flexibility. Choose the group tour for value, the small group for a guided experience.
What is the difference between Krka and Plitvice?
Krka is closer to Split (1.5 hours vs 3.5 hours), more affordable, and includes a boat cruise. You can swim at Krka (in designated areas during summer) but not at Plitvice. Plitvice is larger with 16 lakes and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you only have time for one, Krka is easier; for a bucket-list experience, do Plitvice.
Can you swim at Krka Waterfalls?
You cannot swim directly at Skradinski Buk waterfall, but swimming is possible in the Skradin area during your free time. Bring a swimsuit and towel. Swimming rules change seasonally, and your guide will confirm the current status on the day.
Does the Krka group tour include a guide inside the park?
This tour includes a driver/host who provides commentary during the drive, but does NOT include a live tour guide inside the park. You explore the trails independently using the park's excellent signage and educational panels. If you want a guided experience inside the park, consider our Krka Small Group Tour instead.
